SHS 2 students nationwide asked to go home for voter registration

The Ghana Education Service has directed all regional directors of education to inform heads of senior high schools in the country to let SHS 2 students above 18 years to go home. The purpose of the directive is to enable the students to register for their National Voter ID cards.

It is, however, unclear why the students have been asked to home to register instead of registering in their school communities. Since district level elections will be held with electrical register.
