SHS vacancies in Ashanti Region exist for potential applicants. The vacancies are open to qualified teachers who wish to teach in Senior High Technical Schools in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Recruitment into Ghana Education Service is done every year. Also, teachers seeking transfer to Senior High Schools equally get the chance to be re-posted to Senior High Schools.

Headmasters and headmistresses usually declare vacancies in their various schools annually and forward the same to the district, regional and national offices.

However, for the purposes of publication to reach interested applicants, school management usually allow such vacancies to be shared on social media.

Unfortunately, many heads of Senior High Schools do not allow the sharing of vacancies on social media.

The reason why the school heads do not permit their staff to share the vacancies is to avoid gagging from superiors for exposing the vacancies that exist in the classroom.

In the end, the classroom teachers are the ones who suffer the effects of inadequate teachers because they have to cover the remaining contact hours that need extra teachers.

It is for this reason that some heads of department in SHS or classroom teachers in the school share the vacancies in their schools with or without the permission of their headteachers or heads of department.

Vacancies that originate from Senior High Schools are solely for existing GES staff who wish to seek transfer to such schools. Schools do not engage in recruitment of new staff in Ghana Education Service currently. Unlike in the past when heads were involved.
