Foods That Protects You From Blocked Arteries [Nurses Diaries]
Arteries are blood vessels that makes up a major part of the circulatory system.
The arteries carries oxygenated blood from the heart to other parts of the body.
When an artery supplying blood to a part of the brain becomes clogged, the part of the brain will be deprived of oxygen and die leading to many serious complications.
The arteries needs to be free from clog for blood to flow freely through them.
Clogged arteries results from a build up of substance called plaque on the inner walls of the arteries. These plaques reduces blood flow and /or blocks the flow of blood in some instances.
Some foods can help to prevent this. Some of such foods are
1. Fish
2. Beans
3. Tomatoes
4. Onions
5. Tumeric
6. Citrus fruits
7. Oats
8. Watermelon
9. Olive oil
10. Berries
11. Nuts
Avoid dairy products to protect your arteries from being clog by plaques.
