1. Applicants in Possession of University of Ghana Diplomas | Diploma to degree
Holders of University of Ghana Diplomas or recognised equivalents, with a Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 3.25 or better (for Legon Campus and City Campus programmes) and 2.5 or better (for Distance Learning programmes) in any of the under-listed programmes, are eligible to apply to the SAME area of study and where required, supported with two other subjects in a related field, for admission.
Diploma holders will be admitted to either Level 200 or Level 300 based on their FGPA and area of study. In the case of the School of Veterinary Medicine, admission will be to Level 100. All admission will be to the same subject area as the diploma qualification.

Qualified applicants will be admitted into the B.Sc. Administration Programme. The campus offered will depend on FGPA obtained at the Diploma Level.

Qualified applicants will be offered the Bachelor of Arts programmes.

First Degree Holders:
An applicant with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological or Physical Sciences from a recognized University may be considered for admission on the recommendation of a special committee appointed by the Dean. The special committee shall vet the transcript of the applicant as well as course contents of the degrees, to determine the suitability of previous training and make recommendations to the University’s Admissions Board.
Other Qualifications:
a. Applicants shall be required to attend a selection interview.
b. Applicants in possession of the 3-year Post-Secondary Certificates in Radiography and Medical Laboratory Technology may be considered for admission to Level 100 of the B.Sc. (Diagnostic Radiography/Therapy Radiography) and B.Sc. (Medical Laboratory Sciences) degree programmes respectively. In addition, such applicants MUST have WASSCE/SSSCE passes in three (3) Core subjects and two (2) electives in science or credit passes in five subjects including English Language, Science and Mathematics at the GCE ‘O’ Level as well as passes in two science subjects at the GCE ‘A’ Level. Applicants will be required to sit an entrance examination and pass an interview.
c. Applicants in possession of a Diploma in Laboratory Science may be considered for admission to Medical Laboratory Sciences. Applicants will be required to sit an entrance examination and pass an interview.
m. General Agriculture
Qualified applicants will be admitted into the Bachelor of Science programme in Agriculture
n. Veterinary Medicine
Diploma Holders
Applicants must have a Diploma in Animal Health (Distinction)
First Degree Holders:
Holders of B.Sc. Degree in Animal Science, Biological Science or Allied Health Sciences are eligible to apply.
o. Home Science (Family & Consumer Sciences)
An applicant in possession of a Diploma in any of the following areas is eligible to apply.
o Textiles & Clothing
o Human Development
o Family Resource Management
o Food & Nutrition
o General Home Economics
Qualified applicants will be admitted into the Bachelor of Science programme in Family and Consumer Sciences.
School of Nursing and Midwifery
All applicants to the University of Ghana School of Nursing and Midwifery programme (Regular or Distance Education) MUST possess ALL the following:
A Diploma in Nursing from a recognized educational institution. [NOTE: Health Assistant Clinical (HAC) or Nurse Assistant Clinical (NAC) certificates are NOT acceptable].
The academic transcript MUST be signed by the Principal/Head of the educational institution before upload.
A final copy of the original professional Nursing certificate is needed. The certificate MUST be uploaded (A provisional certificate is NOT acceptable).
Applicants are to choose from the given speciality track/option based on their qualification obtained in the Diploma training. For example, an applicant with Diploma in Registered General Nursing (RGN) MUST select the Bachelor of Science in Registered General Nursing track/option only.
q. Bachelor of Science in Midwifery
r. Bachelor of Science in Nursing with options in:

Applicants are expected to select one (1) option
s. School of Public Health
Bachelor of Public Health with options in:

Midwifery certificates are NOT accepted for the Distance Education BSc. Nursing programme.
The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery degree program is NOT offered as a distance education programme
