The life of the Assistant Headmaster of Mpatasia D/A Basic School in the Amansie South District has come to a tragic end after falling into a Galamsey pit.
The assistant headmaster, who had gone to visit his mining concession in Manso Mpatasie, near Manso Odaho in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, could not return home and was later found dead in Galamsey pit.

The assistant headmaster, Akwasi Anane, who is known to regularly visit his concession, however, is not known to be heavily involved in the galamsey activities as disclosed by Mr. George Duke Acheampong, the assemblyman for the area.

Even though the incident happened on 4th October, 2022, the deceased body is kept at the morgue awaiting autopsy.
