Volo RC basic school organizes fund-raising to finish school building

The management of Volo RC basic school has scheduled a date to raise funds to complete their school building. The school intends to cement the inside and plaster the building with funds that will be generated.

The program is slated for Saturday 2nd September 2023 on the premises of the school.

About the school

Volo RC Basic school was officially established on the 17th of October, 2005 with twenty-five (25) pupils. Ten boys and fifteen girls as a private school owned by the Catholic Church under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Joseph Rabbiozy.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Rabbiozy nurtured the school, provided infrastructure and human resources (supply of community volunteer teachers).

On the 1st of September, 2009, the school was absorbed into the public system. This did not stop the work of Rev. fr. Joseph from building the school.

About Volo community

Volo is located in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region.

The community, which is also a traditional area, is located between the Juapong and Adidome main route.

The road connecting both Adidome and Juapong through Volo is an alsphated road.

The community has a senior high school, a clinic and some commercial farms.

Invited guests for the occasion are the chiefs and queens of the Volo traditional area, the chief and people of other traditional areas in close proximity, the member of parliament for the constituency and the District Chief Executive of North Tongu.

The headteacher of the school is Mr. Tomenu Willington Yao who is leading the mobilization of the program.
