Russia Abducted 16200 Ukrainian Children | Counter measures initiated

Russia abducted 16200 Ukrainian children allegedly and the European Commission has released a press statement about the counter measure to address the issue they consider a war crime.

“The case of abducted Ukrainian children is a horrible reminder of the darkest times of our history. This is a war crime.

We know today of 16,200 children that have been deported. Only 300 have returned so far.

These criminal actions completely justify the arrest warrants issued by the ICC. In this field, in partnership with the Ukrainians and Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki, we have launched an initiative aiming at bringing back these children that have been abducted by Russia.
For that, we will organise a conference. We aim to pull together international pressure to take all possible measures to establish the whereabouts of these children.”

Це справа викрадених українських дітей.
Це жахливе нагадування про найтемніші часи,
нашої історії: депортація дітей.
Це воєнний злочин.
Сьогодні ми знаємо про 16,200
депортованих дітей, лише 300 з яких вдалося повернути.
І ці злочинні дії цілком виправдовують ордер
на арешт, виданий МКС по цій справі.
У партнерстві з українцями, ми разом з Прем’єр-міністром
Моравецьким розпочали ініціативу,
що має на меті повернути дітей,
яких викрала Росія.
Для цього ми організуємо конференцію.
Ми лише розпочинаємо цю дуже складну роботу.
Ми маємо на меті сконцентрувати міжнародний тиск
аби вжити всіх можливих заходів для визначення
місцезнаходження цих дітей.
