Just In: One week vacation for single-track form one students

Amidst the unstable academic calendar for senior high schools in the country, there will be a one week vacation for single-track form one students. That is unless there is any rescheduling of the reopening date for form one students in single-track schools.

The Ghana Education Service has indicated that the reopening date for form one students has been rescheduled to 25th September 2023 from the earlier reopening date of 18th September 2023.

GES rescheduled reopening date for form one students

The original 18th September reopening date was meant for form one students in double track schools.

However, the new rescheduled date did not state categorically that the 25th September reopening date is meant for double track alone.

Rather, the letter referred generally to form one students to reopen on 25th September 2023.

The single-track form one students will vacate on the latest Friday, 15th September 2023.

Therefore, the single-track form one students will spend only about one week vacation before reopening on the 25th September.

Parents, guardians, teachers and students should therefore prepare for a 25th September reopening date after one week vacation for single-track form one students unless there are any last-minute changes.

Moreover, there could also be the possibility that the Ghana Education Service omitted to state categorically that the rescheduled reopening date was for double track form one students.

Attached is the circular that announced the rescheduling of the reopening date.
