      Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, member of parliament (MP) for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region, has been able to implement a simple scheme that provides a minimum of five hundred Ghana cedis (Cedis) to rice farmers in his constituency.

      Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who continues to distinguish himself from his colleagues, has set up a Tiller and harvester service center in his Constituency to offer agricultural support to his constituents. In celebrating the success story of his initiative, Hon. Okudzeto wrote with pictures on his Facebook page:

      “Rice farmers in my beloved North Tongu save GHS250 per every hectare of ploughing & save another GHS250 for every hectare of harvesting.”

      “The MP’s Power Tiller & Combine Harvester Services, in total, saves them at least GHS500 for every hectare of rice production”, he explained.

      “This is our own modest effort at cushioning and subsidizing our industrious rice farmers who have suffered a more than 300% increase in farm inputs since last year”, the MP emphasized.
