Education Minister Disclosed Total Number Of Candidates/ School/ Centers And Security Measures For 2022 BECE

1. There are a total of 2,023 centers hosting this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examimation (BECE) candidates for the nationwide examination

2. Applicants for Ghana Education Service promotion can be asked the total number of Junior High Schools (JHS) is Ghana and knowing the number of schools participating in this year’s examination can provide that clue

3. “Meanwhile, my Ministry is working with the Ghana Education Service, West African Examination Council and the Security Services to safeguard all the 2,023 designated centres across the country”, according to the Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum

On behalf of the Ministry of Education and the good people of Ghana, I convey my best wishes to the 552,276 candidates from 18,501 schools who will sit for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) across 2,023 centres in the country from Monday 17th October to Friday 21st October.

For the past nine (9) years of your education, your parents, teachers, and Government have invested significantly in your education and now is the time for you to finish well and excel.

The President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo believes in you. This is why he has made key investments in your future by ensuring that all successful candidates who qualify for placement in any of our public senior high or technical and vocational schools will benefit from the Government’s Free Senior High School (SHS) or Free Technical and Vocational Education and Training(TVET).
