UCC disclaimer press release: Increase in prices for residential halls on campus

The University of Cape Coast issued a disclaimer concerning a public notice to both fresh students and continuing students. The notice purported to indicate an increase in prices for residential halls on campus.

The university took an exception to that and alerted the general public that the information is false. Below is the statement.

FALSE PUBLICATION ON INCREASE IN PRICES RESIDENTIAL HALLS ON UCC CAMPUS FOR

Cape Coast, September, 14th 2023: The Management of the University of Cape Coast has noted with concern false publications circulating on some social media platforms about new rates for Halls of Residence on campus.

Management wishes to state that it has not determined any new rates for accommodation for Halls of Residence for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.

Students, stakeholders and the general public are advised to disregard the said publications and treat them with utmost contempt.

We wish to assure our cherished students and stakeholders that should there be the need to increase the rates for Residential accommodation on campus, Management will use the established procedures to take decisions on the rate and communicate same to our stakeholders.

We are by this release advising those peddling such falsehood to desist or be ready to face the consequences.
