IGP Dampare planted the records, Bugri Naabu claims, in another leak

The drama around attempts to remove IGP Dampare is taking a different twist daily. It was revealed that another tape captured Bugri Naabu alleging that IGP Dampare planted his boys to record the audio tape that triggered the parliamentary probe.

A Parliamentary probe is currently ongoing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a leaked audio tape which was discussing plans to oust IG Dampare from office.

Bugri Naabu told the parliamentary committee that police officers with plans to take over from IGP Dampare recorded the leaked take.

The two police officers in the audio with Bugri Naabu, Commander Asare and commissioner Mensah both denied the claim before the same parliamentary committee.

Latest twist

In the latest twist, a security analyst, Adib Saani, has disclosed there is another tape which captured Bugri Naabu saying IGP Dampare sanctioned the recorded controversial audio.

Adib Saani made the disclosure during a late night TV discussion with Alfred Ocansey on TV3.

Though the host of the program promoted the security analyst that the TV station had not viewed such a tape, Adib Saani insisted there was such a tape.

It is therefore a matter of days or hours before the country gets hold of the secret recording that the security analyst refers to.
