Mafi-Kumase TDC And MAKAYA Organise Easter Conference

Music power houses, Ayigbe Edem (#gogetthem gbevu nation), Chief One (#whatisthat Lawada Republic) and funny Kenny Ice billed to perform

After a long vacation from organizing Easter programs since 2019 version due to the Covid-19 restrictions, Mafi-Kumase Town Development Committee (TDC) and Mafi-Kumase Area Youth Association (MAKAYA) are organising the 2022 Easter Conference from 16th-17th April, 2022. Even though the previous Easter conference attracted citizens from both far and near in the past, this year’s conference will definitely be different due to the activities lined up.

There will be a street carnival which is expected to host big artists with a huge budget, though on the cheques of an individual nicknamed Bulawayo. The expected artists are Ayigbe Edem, Chief One and Kenny Ice, who are all enjoying the best of their trade and loved by many in the area.

Activities of the Mafi-Kumase at the Easter conference are;

a) health walk on the morning of Saturday 16th

b) Conferences for government agencies in the area to present their reports also on the afternoon of 16th April

c) choral singing competition on the evening of Sunday 17th April

The Town Development Committee, which used to be effective and has a lot of developmental achievements through community mobilisation, like getting hydro-elctricity in 1986 and potable drinking water in 1989, is now struggling to mobilize. The TDC together with MAKAYA is appealing to citizens of the Mafi-Kumase area both far and near to mobilize for the program, according to their broadcast.
