Strike By All Labour Unions Called Off [Citi Eyewitness News Report]
1. The expectation by many public sector members to use industrial strike action to call the government to order has been called off.
2. In the latest twist of events, the government’s team of negotiators who met with the labour unions announced after a series of negotiations that the domestic debt restructuring of government bonds will exempt pension funds from the program, reported by Citi Eyewitness News team at the press conference.
3. The resultant effect is that the strike action by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) is automatically called off, according to the General Secretary of TUC.
4. According to the general secretary of the TUC on the Citi Eyewitness News, Dr Yaw Baah, in a press conference by the TUC informed labour unions that “the intended strike that has been announced on the 19th is effectively called because our demands have been met”
