Foreign Professor Mo And Emma Brought Learning Materials To Sir Don Francis’ School | A teacher making difference

Sir Don Francis could not hide his joy after Professor Mo and Emma brought learning materials to his school children. Sir Don Francis captured his joy and appreciation through a narration of the events of the day.

YASSSSS!!!! Today, Prof Mo, a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of Nottingham University (UK) led his friends, Emma Nottingham and Lindsey to visit us in school. I don’t know how to go about the whole story but let me try.

Last year, Nana Awere Damoah introduced Prof to me during the #PaGya2022 at the Netherlands Embassy, Accra. We spoke for a while and parted ways only for Nana Awere Damoah to text me that Prof had bought some books for my children after I left.

Conversation went forward and he also introduced me to Emma. One morning, I woke up to a text asking for the location of my school and that they wanted to visit me whenever Prof is in Ghana.

Finally, yesterday they confirmed they’d come today. I didn’t believe until I saw their car. Come and see excitement. Ewuradze! They introduced themselves as Friends of Don Francis (alla, FDF, kaishh, afa!)

We took an activity by using an A4 sheet to make an aeroplane ✈️. Guess who became first, Mabel!!!!! 😍😍😍 Her aeroplane flew farther than everyone including myself.

We also took them throughout the school from class to class and I definitely loved it. Prof knew Otabil, Krampah, Kobby and co.

After it all, the children won’t let them go. You ankasa check from the pictures. My voice nearly broke la. They were all over them. Aborɔfo aba hɛn sukuu

They also went to see our library and Emma got us some books from her ward to us . They even got us writing books, erasers, pens, pencils, biscuits, ne adeade Masa, Our Day mpo mfa ne ho.

The problem now is that, news has gotten to the whole town that White People were in our school. A parent even called to say her ward said she took a picture with them.

(These are not the original pictures ooo I’m waiting for the correct ones from Emma). Don’t even know how to go about this. Left a lot out of excitement. I even forgot to take pictures. Me paaaa???
