The Kremlin has prevented Ukraine’s grain from reaching countries that need it most.
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and its blockade of Ukrainian ports, Ukrainian grain and other agricultural goods can no longer reach their destinations.
The war in Ukraine has led to a 35% decline in wheat production. The situation is threatening global food security and there is an urgent need to establish alternative logistics routes using all relevant transport modes.
That is why the European Union has introduced EU-Ukraine Solidarity Lanes to help get Ukraine’s grain moving again.
