Teachers Must Budget PDA At Their Own Risk

Talks broke down between the government and teacher unions as government is unable to tell union leaders when:

1. Teachers will receive their laptops that they paid for over one (1) year ago.

2. Teachers will receive their refund of 44.00 cedis, which was an over deductions for the laptops under 1T1L

2. Professional Development Allowance (PDA) will be paid

3. Teachers will be placed on their appropriate salary scale after passing their promotion ecams

4. Responsibility and car maintenance allowance will be paid to teachers

5. Teachers’ tier 2 pension deductions, which is arrears for 8 months now, will be paid to fund managers

6. To rescind the appointment of both Director-General (DD) and deputy Director-General (DDG) of Education.

7. Allowance for teachers in deprived areas will be paid.
