NTC Adds Two More Papers To Licensure Examination

Highlights

1. The National Teaching Council (NTC) is mandated to license all teachers in the country and does so through the conduct of examimation for aspiring teachers

2. After conducting the licensure examination for years, the NTC decides to reform the nature and number of the exams written by applicants

3. Currently, NTC conducts the exams in three (3) areas namely:

a) numeracy

b) literacy

c) essential skills

4. The National Teaching Council, however, want to compress the three exam papers into one exam to be written which will be called General paper

5. Two more papers will also be introduced for aspiring teachers to pass before being accepted to teach. The extra two exam papers to written are
