New Fraud Alert From SSNIT | Beware And Take Caution

These fraudsters are really good at what they do. There is currently a new fraud alert from SSNIT regarding a new scheme being used by fraudsters to dupe their unsuspecting victims. The rate at which clients of the Social security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) are being scammed has forced SSNIT to issue the alert to inform the general public.

A disclaimer fraud alert from Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) read: “It has come to the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) that some unscrupulous persons are calling pensioners under the guide of assisting them claim ‘locked up balance of their pension’ at a fee.

Management of SSNIT wishes to inform the public to disregard such calls as there is no ‘locked up pension balance’ to be collected. The TRUST has not engaged or commissioned any individual or body to assist pensioners claim any benefit from SSNIT.

The public is hereby cautioned not to engage any individual or body purporting to act on behalf of the TRUST in this regard.

We encourage the public especially pensioners to report such persons to the nearest police station or a SSNIT office.

Management wishes to state further that processing of benefits is free.”

 

Members of the general public must develop the habit of discussing their critical financial decisions with anyone they believe should know better before entering into any agreement with people they have no prior relationship with, especially with people met online.
