National Exercise: G.E.S Regional offices write to district offices to collate names of upgraded/promoted staff without supporting letters/documents by 31st August 2022. What are the implications? Retro net-offset or regularisation?

Highlights

There is currently an ongoing collation of names of staff who were promoted or upgraded without supporting documents.

Staff who equally got their grade points and steps increased without any supporting documents are also likely to be affected.

There is a circular from the Regional Secretariat of Ghana Education Service requesting all District Offices to collate the names of all staff who were promoted or upgraded without supporting documents. Parts of the letter read:

“Management write to request you to collate names of staff who have been promoted or upgraded without official letters of such promotions or upgrading”

The letter, which gave a deadline of 31st August, 2022, asked staff to provide the following information as contained in the letter:

“All names should come with payslips of the previous and ensuing months, which promotion or upgrading reflected for the first time”
