Peptic ulcer disease (PUD) is a condition in which painful sores or ulcers develop in the lining of the stomach or the first part of the small intestine ( Duodenum ). There is a thick layer of mucus that protects the stomach lining and the duodenum from the effect of digestive juice, which contains a lot of acid (hydrochloric acid). When there is a break in this thick layer of mucus or if their function deteriorates, this digestive juice then gets access to the stomach tissues and begins to eat into the stomach tissues to cause ulcers or sores. Interestingly, anyone can eat multiple times in a day, but eating the wrong choice of meal or wrong timing can make everyone susceptible to Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD).Everyone is at risk of this disease, so you need to know about the lifestyle changes that improve peptic ulcer disease to prevent it, since it can lead to serious complications if not treated on time

Some risk factors of peptic ulcer disease are

6. A bacterial infection called helicobacter pylori can also cause this disease . When you go to the hospital, a blood test will be done

8. Blood type O : In people with blood type O, the bacteria Helicobacter pylori binds to their epithelial cells easily and they have higher inflammatory response to this bacteria, making them more susceptible to this diseases

1. Pay attention to your mental health: Depression, anxiety and stress can contribute to peptic ulcers. Poor eating and a destructive lifestyle associated with mental health conditions can all cause Peptic Ulcer disease.

3. Avoid smoking: Nicotine increases acid production, which can worsen or aggravate an existing ulcer.

4. Reduce spicy foods

5. Avoid taking over-the-counter pain medications

2. Hole ( perforation ) in the stomach wall

3 . Gastric or stomach cancer

4 . A blockage or obstruction of the digestive tract.
