Labour Unions And Government In Confusion Over Monday’s Salary Negotiations For 2023 [The battle is the lord’s]

      Highlights

      1. Government in an attempt to make a last minute efforts to agree a percentage salary increase for public sector workers called a tripartite salary negotiation meeting to settle on a figure

      2. The last scheduled meeting, which was on Friday, 18th November 2022 was adjourned to Monday 21st November 2022.

      3. During the last meeting on Friday, labour settled on 60% salary increase as against government’s 8% before the meeting was adjourned

      4. In what appears to be a confusion on the part of Ghana Government, it could not convey to labour unions when or whether today’s (Monday) meeting would come off.

      5. Representatives of labour are thus left confused and uncertain whether today’s meeting would come off as at midday today Monday 21st 2022, according to Thomas Musah, the general secretary of GNAT, during midday news on Joyfm.
