Intervention Money For SHS Disbursed | Interesting Formula
The academic intervention money for SHS staff has been disbursed. The intervention money has been disbursed to the management of the Ghana Education Service.
The management of the Ghana Education Service is making arrangements to disburse the funds to the various Senior High Schools in the country
Highlights
1. The management of the Ghana Education Service has sent a circular, dated 31st March 2023, to all regional directors in the country that it has received the academic intervention
2. The formula for sharing the money is:
a. For day schools: 5% for management, 75% for teaching staff and 20% for non-teaching staff
b. For boarding schools: 5% for management, 70% for teaching staff and 25% for non-teaching staff
The circular to regional directors
The management of the Ghana Education Service has received academic intervention fund to be transferred to schools. The amount of money to be received by each school is attached.
For the avoidance of doubt, the management refers to; Headmaster, Assistants, Senior housemaster/ headmistress, and Accountant

Please note:
1. Special attention should be given to the kitchen staff
2. Under no circumstance should a staff benefit from more than one category
3. Refer to the chief accountant of GES, Headquarters, if the above distribution ratios compromise equity and fairness
4. Each Cost Center Manager must set up a committee to share the amount to be received, indicating the amount each staff is allocated and forward same to the Director-General though naathom@gmail.com before the funds are transferred to the schools.
5. These allocations should be endorsed by the Head and Accountant
