In an address to the gathering at the ceremony marking World Teachers Day in Tamale, the President of the largest teachers’ union, GNAT, asked the head of the National Teaching Council (NTC), to address issues of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) point accumulation.

Below are the excerpts of the GNAT president’s address.

2. We believe that the notion of the point building under the NTC was to enable the teachers to acquire the relevant skills that will help in the delivery of their work as professionals.
