Fijai SHS Headmaster Interdicted | Other Heads Shaking
Fijai SHS Headmaster Interdicted: The headmaster of Fijai Senior High School has been interdicted by the Ghana Education Service. The reason for the interdiction of the headmaster has put fear in other headmasters across the country.
The Ghana Education Service has released a press statement indicating the decision of the service to interdict the headmaster for collecting illegal fees in the school. The press statement was released today, 18th April 2023. Below is the press release:
Interdiction of Fijai SHS Headmaster
Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted Mr. Kenneth Agbomadze, Headmaster of Fijai Senior High School with immediate effect pending further investigation into an alleged collection of illegal fees in the school.
Mr. Agbomadze is to handover the administration of the school to the Western Regional Director of Education.
The investigation committee has been given two weeks to submit its report to management.

The press release was signed by Ms. Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana Education Service.
Collection of illegal fees during the admission of first year students has been widely reported. However, the latest interdiction is the first public announcement of a Headmaster who was interdicted because of illegal fees.
Also, it is unclear the criteria the management of the Ghana Education Service uses to investigate headmasters accused of collecting illegal fees.
