End of 2022 Bank of Ghana Exchange Rates. 31st December 2022 BoG Exchange Rates
Looking at how volatile the foreign exchange market was in the year 2022, market watchers would be interested in the rate of foreign currencies at the end of the year.
Miraculously, the Ghana cedi, which has lost so much in a short duration in the year 2022, regained most of its value as the end of the year 2022.
The Ghana cedi, which was trading above Ghc15 to the dollar in the third quarter of 2022, ended the year around Ghc8.5.
The Bank of Ghana’s daily quotes of foreign currencies are the average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business every day.
On the last day of trading in the year 2022, which is Friday 30th December 2022, the average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions is, therefore, the end of the year 2022 exchange rates.
