Education Minister Touring Schools [Be prepared for him]
Highlights
1. While supervision is a routine part of any work and teaching for that matter, not every teacher feels comfortable seeing higher authority visiting their class for any engagement
2. The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum is visiting certain schools to talk to learners in classrooms
3. Below is the statement of the Education Minister detailing his schedule of work
“I made an unannounced visit to Morning Star School located at Cantonment in Accra on Thursday 27th October 2022.
The visit forms part of my routine visits to stakeholders in the education space.
I used the opportunity to engage a section of the children in the classroom. I also met the teachers and discussed ongoing developments in the education space with them.

I commended the proprietor of the school for her role in the development of education in the country.
The good news is that when the private sector flourishes, the country benefits. This is why I assure the private actors of the Ministry’s constant support.
In addition, I hinted at an upcoming meeting organized by the Education Ministry for operators of Private Schools, Public Schools, the National Teaching Council (NTC), the National School Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) and other stakeholders to deliberate on issues relating to best practices to be shared amongst them.

There is no doubt in my mind that both private and public schools have best practices that are worth sharing by both sides so they could be implemented in their schools.
