GES junior rank promotions start

Officials of the Ghana Education Service have announced the commencement of junior rank promotions. The junior rank promotions affect the promotion of superintendent I, senior superintendent II and senior superintendent I.

Teachers must be promoted on or before the year 2018 to qualify to apply. In addition, the teacher should be at post continuously without a break. Except for the period of approved leave of absence.

Afigya Kwabre South District Education Office of the Ghana Education Service disclosed the commencement of the promotions.

This is because the Ghana Education Service carries out its activities in unison across the country. Therefore, other districts are expected to release a circular to announce their staff to inform them about the start of the junior rank promotions.

Afigya Kwabre South District Education Office issued a notice about the commencement of the junior rank promotions on 17th July 2023. Below is the content of the circular.

APPLICATION FOR PROMOTION

Applications are invited from qualified serving officers for consideration for promotion to the grade of

a. Superintendent I

b. Senior Superintendent II

c. Senior Superintendent I

QUALIFICATION

As an applicant should have been promoted to any of the above mentioned grades in or before 2018 and should have been continuously at post since that date (except for a period of approved leave of absence).

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Each applicant should write an application letter and include a photocopy of their current payslip promotion letter, and those using a certificate should include their certificate and upgrading letter. The letter should reach the District Education Office not later than 25 July, 2023

NOTE: late application will not be entertained.
