GNAT Releases New Reasons Loans Will Delay Further Effective 17th
The Ghana National Association of Teachers, GNAT, has released new reasons loans will delay further. Currently, scores of members of the union are worried and depressed about a delay in the disbursement of the loan facilities they applied for. Some of the loans are yet to be disbursed after two months of application.
Even though the Teachers’ Fund had disclosed weeks earlier that the volume of loan applications is responsible for the delay in disbursing the loans, a new reason has been provided.
The GNAT Teachers’ Fund has released a notice that the Controller and Accountant General Department is rejecting black and white pictures. The situation, the fund said, is hindering the smooth processing of loan applications for members. This, the fund said, is also contributing to a delay in the disbursement of loans to members. Members are therefore requested to resubmit a coloured picture image of their Ghana card for the loans to be processed. Therefore, black and white picture images of members are no longer accepted for loan processes.
