Databank Offices Closed Nationwide Due To Cash Liquidity Challenges: Works Remotely, According To Press Release [Details here]
1. In a press release dated 21st December, 2022, Databank, which is owned by the current Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, disclosed “effective tomorrow December 22nd, all data bank staff will be working from home until January 10th 2023”.
2. “After the launch of the debt exchange program on December 5, 2022… Activity on the secondary market has virtually come to a halt, making it impossible for us to access liquidity.”
3. “Therefore, our original two-week estimate for withdrawal request has now been impacted”.
4. …. “However, there are several clients who have felt the need to abuse our staff physically and verbally, also threaten their lives as well as their families. As such we have no choice but to move to a work-from-home option”.

5. “While our offices will be physically closed, we will continue to serve you and process transactions remotely and, all our digital channels will remain open”.
