Web Strike: Government Might Set Professions Against Each Other

1. The Trade Union Congress of Ghana with membership from all sectors of the economy are warming up to start the mother of strikes effective 27th December 2022 if they not hear a favourable word from the government concerning their pension funds being involved in a domestic debt restructuring by the government

2. The strike which can be classified as the mother of all strikes has health workers already presenting a road map with respect to how they will carry out the industrial strike action effective Tuesday, 27th December 2022.

3. Even though the largest employees of government, Ghana Education Service staff, are already on vacation and may not effectively carry out the strike, the odds are that, the teachers will not resume school if the concerns raised are not addressed before the reopening date

4. Though some staff members manning offices in the Ghana Education Service are still at work and also local government staff are still at work, such officers may not willingly report to work after the 27th strike date.

5. From the Metrological service to government research firms in the country, the question and effects that will be felt by everyone will be typical of a spider web where everyone is engulfed by the absence of service delivery that they hoped for.

6. The popular old age debate that will arise is which profession is important when they all go on strike.
