Your intestines can be perforated at the advanced stage of typhoid fever. A perforated intestines is a lethal situation.

Typhoid fever, also known as enteric fever, which is a bacterial infection caused by a bacteria called Salmonella typhi, can be life threatening. Salmonella typhi can spread throughout the body and affect many organs if not treated promptly. Many people have been affected by this disease and need to know more about it to avoid or prevent complications and also subsequent infections.

The bacteria, Salmonella typhi is very contagious and an infected person can spread the disease through their poo or pee. When someone eats or drinks water infected with bacteria, the person can be infected. It is necessary to wash your hands with soap and water after pooing or peeing to avoid the spread of this bacteria.
