The Ghana Education Service has given out the list of Intervention money for SHS 2023 for sharing among the staff of the various Senior high schools in the country.
Earlier, the management of the Ghana Education Service released a circular to the heads of the various Senior high schools to distribute the money among staff and forward the distributed allocations to the headquarters before the monies will be disbursed into the accounts of the schools.
The list of the amounts for the various Senior High Schools in the country has been seen. Interesting facts could be analysed from the list. In the central region, the school receiving the highest amount of money is Mfantsiman Girls’Senior High School. The amount attached to the school’s name is two hundred and twenty-seven thousand, nine hundred and seventy Ghana cedis. Kobina Ansah Senior High School has seven hundred and sixty-five Ghana cedis attached to its name.

In the past, the distribution of intervention money among staff leads to serious disagreement among staff of senior high schools. The disagreement is usually between some teachers and management of the schools. While the teachers demand that amount be shared according to the formula provided, some management try to vary the formula.
Some management also sometimes try to reserve portions of the intervention fund for certain projects in the school. Some of those reserved funds never get accounted for properly.
