G.E.S Released Final 2023 Academic Calendar For All Schools

The Ghana Education Service has finally released the academic calendar for all schools for the 2022/2023 academic year. The Ghana Education Service had published an academic calendar for the academic year but disclosed weeks later it was holding a consultative meeting for a final academic calendar. Teachers and stakeholders have been waiting for the final 2023 academic calendar.

The final 2023 academic calendar has been issued through a press release today, 8th February 2023. The press release was issued by the Deputy Director-General (Q & A), Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh, on behalf of the Director-General. Portions of the letter announcing the final academic calendar read:

Management wishes to inform all staff of the 2023 academic calendar for all schools (Senior and Seminary High Technical Schools/ Junior High Schools/ Primary Schools/ Kindergarten).

Regional Directors are by this letter directed to ensure that heads of schools for basic and second cycle schools in their respective regions take note of the provisions in the attached calendar and comply accordingly to facilitate a smooth running of the academic year.”
