G.E.S Occupational Pension Scheme (Pension lump contributions and claims, tier 2) Releases Scam Alert. [Beware and take caution]

1. GESOPS is simply a Ghana Education Service Occupational Pension Scheme which is responsible for receiving and paying a lump-sum (tier 2) pension to Ghana Education Service staff.

2. GESOPS released a scam alert to all Ghana Education Service staff to take caution against any scammer who wants to play a fast one on members.

In response to reports about fraudsters trying to defraud GESOPS members, the Ghana Education Service Occupational Pension Scheme managers have released a fraud alert stating:

“GESOPS, Controller or GLICO staff will never demand any form of payment or money before or after your claim is paid.”

Also, the release encourages members of GESOPS to “report any unusual activities involving your tier 2 pension to GESOPS”.
