1. The National Health Insurance Scheme has gone through several reforms to better serve Ghanaians since it’s inception.
2. From manual registration and picture identification cards, the National Health Insurance Scheme introduced biometric registration until the coming in of the National Identification Authority’s Ghana Card.

3. The National Health Insurance Scheme also introduced a mobile USSD code (*929#) for registration and renewals for Ghanaians to register and renew their premiums with ease through their use of phones from anywhere.
4. To better serve Ghanaians, the National Health Insurance Scheme has introduced a mobile app that is available on Google Play Store for users to download for use.

5. The only requirement needed to use the mobile app is a Ghana Card credentials.
