3 Reasons Some Companies Remain Anonymous During Recruitment

It is sometimes considered weird for job seekers why a company which is trying to recruit employees will not be named or remain anonymous during the recruitment process.

It must be emphasized that a job advertisement with anonymous company names is not out of place or it does not suggest a suspicious advert.

There are about three (3) reasons why a company would like to remain anonymous during it’s recruitment process.

1. Companies which are highly professional and result oriented try as much as possible to search for the best possible candidate available to them. To be able to recruit the best candidate, the company would like to avoid any attempt by people who are related to the company (high shareholders, family and friends of managers of the company) to try to influence the recruitment process. By remaining anonymous, the company is able to recruit a candidate without people related to the company having a compromising influence on the recruitment process.

2. Another reason companies remain anonymous during recruitment is sometimes an attempt to replace an existing staff member either because he or she is not performing or for any other reason, without such an employee knowing in advance.

3. A third reason companies remain anonymous during recruitment is because they have probably contracted the recruitment process to a recruitment agency and have no hand in the recruitment process. To prevent potential applicants from bothering the offices of the Human Resource Department of the company, instead of using the advertised channel for the application process, the company would like to remain anonymous.
