Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Visiting Schools | Donates To Welfare Fund

The Education Minister Dr. Adutwum is going on his routine school visitation. The first visit, which ends up at Labone Senior High School in Accra provided a lot of opportunities for both students and staff.

The minister who is noted for visiting schools uses the opportunity to interact and abreast himself with issues on the ground. Below is the Minister’s account of his latest visit.

“Earlier today January 18th 2023, I visited the Labone Senior High School in Accra as part of my routine unannounced school visits.

I joined them for their morning assembly and shared few words of encouragement with them.

I urged the students to cultivate reading habits and make good use of the school’s library.

I then joined the students for breakfast after which I inspected the school’s kitchen and other facilities.

I also made donations to the Teachers Welfare Fund and other projects of the school.

I appreciate the significant roles the teaching and non-teaching staff of Labone SHS are playing to enforce the government’s pursuit of the smooth execution of the Free SHS program,” Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum concluded on his Facebook page

The education ministry is faced with lots of labour complaints lately. Some of the issues is the industrial strike against the newly appointed Director-General of the Ghana Education Service. Another issue is the laptops that teachers paid for but are yet to be fully distributed.
