UNEB Released 2022 UACE Results | Find out the details of passes and comparism with 2020 here

The Uganda National Examination Board has released the 2022 UACE Results today Friday 3rd March 2023. The results were presented by the chairperson of the Uganda National Examination Board, Prof. Mary J.N Okwakol to the Minister of State for higher education, Hon. J.C Muyingo.

The official release of the 2022 Uganda Advance Certificate Examination results which was presided over by the state minister J.C Muyingo took place at the Office of the President Conference Hall. The program which started at 10:00am saw a number of other dignitaries in attendance.

Statistics of the 2022 UACE results

A total of 97,899 registered for the examination. A total of 1,969 examination centers were used to conduct the examination. A total of 42% of the registered candidates were females while the remaining 58% were males. According to the chairperson of the Uganda National Examination Board, Prof. Mary Okwakol: As was the case in the 2020 examinations, female candidates have proportionally (in terms of percentages) performed better than the males at all levels and have shown a lower failure rate. Also in cases where one Principal and two Subsidiary passes levels are considered for admission to other tertiary institutions, 89.3% of the candidates will qualify.

However, At the minimum of two Principal level required for University admission, 67,815 (70.3%) of the candidates who sat for the UACE2022 qualify compared to 69.8% in 2020. An analysis of the overall candidates’ performance in the examination shows that
a very high percentage of candidates (99.2%) qualified for the award of the UACE, just as was in 2020.

Withheld results

In accordance with Section 4 (3) of the UNEB Act, 2021, the Uganda National Examination Board, has withheld results of 113 candidates, and will accord the affected
candidates a fair hearing before passing a final verdict.

How to check results

An opportunity has also been provided for candidates to check their results through SMS.
step 1: Candidates are supposed to type “UACE space FULL STUDENT/INDEX NUMBER”

Step 2: send to 6600.
Step 3: You will receive UACE results for your student.
