One out of four people is at risk of stroke in their lifetime.  It’s the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Stroke is a serious life-threatening medical condition that occurs when blood supply to a part of the brain is cut off or disrupted by a clot or a blood vessel supplying blood to a part of the brain burst.
When there is a cut off of blood or inadequate blood supply to a part of the brain, it’s deprived of oxygen and nutrients, hence leading to death of that part,  causing stroke.
